Let’s face it, Amazon sale days are always successful. I’m a big fan of the fitness sales they typically launch in the summer and fall, and so it’s no surprise to me that this year they’re launching their first-ever Big Spring Sale. Kicking off March 20th, it’s set to run through the 25th. As usual, the company is pitching Amazon Prime membership harder than a World Series speedball. But the good news is you don’t have to be a member to shop the savings. If you are interested in signing up, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial after which the $14.99 monthly fee kicks in. Over the years I’ve come to buy everything from protein bars to vitamins from Amazon, and in the U.S., college students can join for a free six-month trial and then pay just $7.49 per year. Some folks on government assistance can even qualify for $6.99 per month. In addition to great discounts on all things fitness related, you can also access Prime Video, Amazon Music and more. In my experience, there’s nothing cooler than calling out songs to Alexa while jogging on a treadmill.
Below I’ve tagged a few fitness items set for discount but be sure to check back as new items will come in throughout the six-day sale. If you’ve been living under a rock these last few years and have never used Amazon, this would be a great time to try.
Offered in six different colors, the under-the-desk elliptical is a great little gadget for office workers and senior citizens alike. I love the idea of pedaling away while typing. Measuring 16″ x 16″ x 16″ the unit offers automatic and manual mode exercise programs, and features a digital monitor so you can track time, speed, calories, and distance. This unit pairs a belt drive mechanism with magnetic resistance so you won’t have to worry about noise. Better yet, no assembly required and the deal price is only $159.
The Echelon EX-15 Smart Connect Bike measures 10″ x 20.28″ x 37.8″ and weighs 91 pounds. A great brand, in my experience Echelon bikes perform. This unit comes ready to work with the Echelon Fit App and supports up to 300 pounds. Built with 32 levels of silent magnetic resistance, the bike has a competition-style seating seat saddle and a handlebar attachment for devices. Whether you want to use the Echelon Fit App or another, you’re good to go with a price of $500.
If an upright bike is more your speed, the Schwinn model might be for you. Purchase includes a two-month trial of the JRNY Fitness App, and the bike has a great device holder so you can use either a smartphone or tablet for programming. Measuring 47.9″ x 28.8″ x 56.4″ the bike weighs 84 pounds and can support up to 330 pounds. The silent magnetic resistance built into this bike makes for smooth and silent riding in any weather.
Amazon is a great retailer for all things treadmill, and this spring sale doesn’t fail. The Echelon Stride series will be included in the sale. The Echelon Stride-S comes in measuring 69.3″ x 31″ x 49.2″ and features a 20″ x 55″ running deck. With a top speed of 12 miles per hour and incline of 10%, the machine also features integrated heart rate sensors, a USB charging port, and auto-fold. The treadmill is built to work with the Echelon Fit App but can work without it.
Getting pumped up about the Amazon discounts is easy with PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells. With a range of 3-24 pounds, you can move up the ladder quickly while doing your workouts. The unit itself measures 10″ x 5.5″ x 5.5″ and can replace up to eight pairs of dumbbells, the equivalent of 216 pounds. Purchase includes a five-year warranty. In my experience, these adjustable dumbbells are awesome, particularly if you don’t have room for a whole set of pieces. The price of $199 is dirt cheap when considering having to buy eight individual pairs.
Treadmills are among the world’s favorite workout machines for good reason. The Sunny Health and Fitness folding unit comes in at under $600 and offers you the basics. A nice portable unit that folds, the treadmill measures 30.5″ x 59″ x 40″ and weighs 95 pounds. Top speeds max out at 8mph by way of a 2.5 HP motor. The maximum weight able to be supported here is 220 pounds, but for the average runner or walker, this would be a great bargain.
One of the best on the market, the Hydrow Rowing machine comes with a whopping 22″ high-definition touchscreen and silent magnetic resistance. Built to work with the Hydrow Fitness App, you’ll have access to thousands of on-demand rowing workouts. Measuring 86″ x 25″ x 47″ at a machine weight of 145 pounds, the rower is Bluetooth-enabled and compatible with most speakers, heart rate monitors, and headphones.
There’s no time like the present to think about a Polar Vantage M Advanced GPS Running and Multisport Watch. What’s neat about this deal is it lasts up to 30 hours without recharge. In addition to serving as a time piece, the unit features a heart rate monitor and fitness tracker. This includes swimming strokes and biking activities. The display resolution is 240 x 240, and you can pick from any number of colors.
