212 Olympia Champion Shaun Clarida To Compete In Men’s Open at 2024 EVLS Prague Pro

“The Giant Killer” has won in the Open division before.

The 2024 EVLS Prague Pro on Nov. 16-17, 2024, at the PVA Expo Prague in Letňany, Prague, Czech Republic, will feature seven divisions: Men’s Open, 212, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini, Figure, and Wellness.

While most pro shows typically have one or two standout front-runners to claim the Olympia qualification awarded to first-place finishers, the Men’s Open contest in Prague will have that and several notable cross-division athletes.

Among them will be two-time 212 Olympia champion Shaun Clarida, who confirmed that he will compete in the Men’s Open division against the likes of 2024 Mr. Olympia fourth-place finisher Martin Fitzwater.

While many might think Clarida, who has been on the 212 Olympia podium every year since 2019, is making his Men’s Open debut in Prague, they would be mistaken. Clarida has actually won an Open show before.

In 2021, Clarida scored gold at the Legions Sports Fest, taking down well-known athletes like Regan Grimes, Sergio Oliva Jr., Tonio Burton, and even Fitzwater.

Clarida is not the only athlete who typically competes outside the Men’s Open division in Prague. Six-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead announced his retirement from competitive bodybuilding at the 2024 Olympia after claiming his sixth consecutive title. However, shortly thereafter, he confirmed that he would test his hand in the Men’s Open in Prague.

Can “The Giant Killer” Clarida take down the most popular bodybuilding in the world in the headline division in the Czech Republic? Will Bumstead score a top finish in his long-anticipated Men’s Open debut? Will both be silenced by Fitzwater or another Men’s Open competitor seeking their qualification to the 2025 Olympia? We’ll have to tune in on Nov. 17, 2024, to find out.
